A golden morning was wet when she, walking slowly, reached the bus stop. A large bag hung from her shoulder, and she held a small water bottle in her hand. Her face was worn with exhaustion. She came near a bench where she would sit every day, waiting for the bus for about 10 minutes.
She placed the bag to one side and sat on the bench. Then, with one hand, she stopped a train and opened a bottle with the other. She applied it to her lips. The heat had been increasing lately, and she was sweating early in the morning. She wondered what the day would bring, lost in her thoughts. Her face showed the same solitude as if she were estranged from the world. A golden forehead adorned with a permanent line and beautiful brown eyes filled with fatigue, as if she were resenting the whole world.
There was something in her that made her unique, something that made her stand out. She wrapped her long hair around her neck, like a scarf in a muffler’s fashion. The massaged her feet one after the other, feeling the fabric of her jeans in a denim style. She scrutinized with critical eyes, looking around, and then, suddenly, she felt that the dark-skinned girl was still sitting on the bench with her.
